NEPSE gains 3.76 points to close at 1,993.02 on Monday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has gained 3.76 points to close at 1,993.02 points on Monday. The index had lost 33.36 points on Sunday.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index also went up by 1.76 points to settle at 387.46 points.

A total of 3,440,900 units of shares of 222 companies changed hands via 26,046 transactions, resulting in turnover of 1.26 billion. The turnover had been Rs 1.05 billion on Sunday.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top gainer for the day and gained 7.48 percent while RURU Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited was the biggest loser and shed 5.70 percent in the secondary market today.

Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited was the top stock by No of Transactions, recording 1,156 transactions as Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited was the top stock by Shares Traded, recording trade of 164,458 units of shares.

Likewise, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited was the top stock by turnover, registering Rs 112 million of turnover in the secondary market today.

All sectors closed green, except for Banking, MicroFinance, Mutual Funds and Investment.
