KATHMANDU: The parliamentary committee formed to investigate the case of alteration of the scope of taxes by allowing unauthorized persons at the Finance Ministry is submitting its report to Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota today.

The then finance minister Janardan Sharma resigned in this case and the parliament formed a parliamentary committee to investigate him.

The committee spent 17 days to investigate. According to the Secretary of the Committee, Surendra Aryal, the report will be submitted on Friday morning after seeking time from the Speaker.

The House of Representatives formed a committee to investigate whether unauthorized persons had entered the Ministry of Finance, the night before the budget was unveiled.
