KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has registered a case against Attorney General Khamba Bahadur Khati.
According to SC sources, the assistant Attorney at Lalitpur District Court Sangita Thokar filed a case against Attorney General Khati in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
In the complaint, Thokar has made Attorney General Khati, his secretariat and the office of the Attorney General the defendant in the case.
The court has fixed Thursday for the hearing on Thokar’s case.
Thokar was transferred to Hetauda from Lalitpur on June 16. Thokar has accused of being transferred illegally for her refusal to weaken the rape case.
Earlier, the petition filed by Thokar against Khati was rejected by the apex administration on June 23.
