Cholera detected in 14 people in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Cholera has been reported in 14 people in Kathmandu Valley.

Fourteen people have been diagnosed with cholera and returned home after treatment, said Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division Dr Chuman Lal Das.

Two more cholera patients are undergoing treatment at Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital in Teku, according to RSS.

Their condition is reported to be normal. Dr Das also shared that the first person diagnosed with cholera was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, after his condition became critical.
