KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 62 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.
Out of the confirmed cases, 51 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 11 through the Antigen method.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,620 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,008 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 612 through the Antigen method.
Currently, there are 261 active cases in the country as 19 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
