Obstructed Prithivi Highway resumes

KATHMANDU: The obstructed Prithivi Highway has resumed following the removal of landslide debris near Aina Pahara at Aanbukhaireni-2 in Tanahun district.

A dozer was deployed to clear the landslide deposition, said the Area Police Office, Aanbukhaireni.

The road was obstructed by the landslip in the area, resulting in scores of vehicles heading to their destinations getting stuck midway, said the police.

The road leading to Gorkha through Muglin and Aanbukhaireni reopened after clearing the road.

But, the obstructed road leading to Pokhara has yet to resume as the removal of debris is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police. “The obstructed road too will reopen soon.” (RSS)
