Four killed in tipper accident in Lamjung



LAMJUNG: Four people, including a driver, died in a tipper accident in Lamjung Municipality on Sunday afternoon.

According to Inspector Jagdish Regmi, District Police Office, Lamjung, four persons including the driver died on the spot when the Ba 4 Kha 7781 tipper heading towards Lamjung- 7 fell near Setikhola of the same ward at around 3.30 pm on Sunday.

“The tipper of the Mid-Hills Highway has fallen 30 meters from the road, the road was too narrow for the tipper,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Akash Ghimire, 27, of Gajuri, Dhading district.

The other three deceased are yet to be identified, police said.

Police informed that the rescue operation was underway.
