Large and medium level cold stores to be established in provinces

KATHMANDU: The government has said that it would set up cold stores in all the seven provinces keeping in view the production of farmers.

Presenting the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/23, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma announced that the government has allocated a budget to establish large and medium level cold stores in all provinces.

“2079 BS will be celebrated as the year of agro-biodiversity. Farmers will be encouraged to produce cash crops,” he said, adding, “Arrangements will be made to open large and medium-sized cold stores in each province.”
