KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the CPN-UML KP Oli has claimed that there had been a success in driving the country towards good governance and prosperity.
The erstwhile government had taken the country on the path to good governance and prosperity while strengthening the federal democratic governance system as envisioned by the constitution, he maintained in a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Republic Day.
“On this historic day, the monarchical system based on the principle of rule by birth was transformed into the people’s supremacy,” Oli said.
He added, “We have made historic achievements wherein the sources of country’s sovereignty and state power are vested in the people.”
Such historic works had played an important role in strengthening the republic governance system and in taking the entire country on the path to achieve the goals of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’, said the former Prime Minister.
There had been a misinterpretation and an extra interpretation of the constitution and the system by misusing state organs, he said, adding that these things should be stopped.
