CIAA files graft case against six persons, including ex-chair of TU Service Commission Koirala, for alleged irregularities



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against six persons, including the then chairman of the Tribhuvan University (TU) Service Commission Parashuram Koirala, for alleged irregularities in scrutinizing answer papers.

A case has been filed against them in the Special Court on charges of tampering answer papers of candidates, manipulating marks and influencing merit list in the written examination for the post of Accounts Assistant and Library Assistant in 2017.

CIAA Spokesperson Associate Shyamprasad Bhandari said a case was filed against Associate Professors Keshav Ghimire and Rajeshwor Neupane (who examined the first and second papers of the post of Accounts Assistant respectively), Library Assistant Administrator Indira Ghimire (who checked the second paper of the post of Library Assistant), Answersheets Superintendent Professor Dr. Teknath Dhakal, Chief Superintendent i.e. the then Chief of the TU Service Commission Parashuram Koirala and the then chief office assistant Bachuram Pandey.
