POKHARA: Dissatisfied with the detention order issued by the district court Tanahu on March 24, rape-accused actor Paul Shah has decided to go to the Pokhara High Court for an appeal.

Earlier, hearing on the case related to Shah, Tanahu District Court had refused to release him on bail.

Senior advocate Kamala Mohan Wagle said that Shah would go to the high court Tuesday as the district court’s order to send him to jail for trial was not satisfactory.

According to Wagle, Paul was about to file an appeal as the court had remanded Paul in custody despite his demand that the case should be tried releasing him on bail.

Paul, who is in police custody, has been kept in the district jail in Tanahu after the district court ordered him to be remanded in custody for trial.

The rape accused actor is in the B block of the Tanahu District Jail.

Along with him, there are 140 prisoners in B block. Block B has a capacity of 80 people. There are a total of 258 inmates including 13 women inmates in the Tanahu prison.
