NC to take final call on electoral alliance today

CWC meeting called at 3 pm



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is taking a final call on the electoral alliance for the upcoming elections today.

According to Dr Prakash Saran Mahat, the spokesperson, of the NC, the central working committee (CWC) meeting scheduled for today will officially decide on the electoral alliance.

The CWC meeting has been taking place since Friday. CWC members had put forth their views on the electoral alliance in the meeting on Monday.

All the central members have finished expressing their views on the electoral alliance and today’s meeting will take a final call on the issue today, Dr Mahat told Khabarhub.

“All the members have put forth their views. Today’s CWC meeting will take an official decision on the electoral alliance today,” said Dr Mahat.

The CWC meeting has been called at the central party office in Sanepa at 3 pm, informed chief secretary of the central party office Krishna Prasad Paudel.

Most of the central members have spoken in favor of electoral alliance while a few of them have suggested that the NC should contest the local level elections without alliance.
