Lawmaker Suwal demands for declaring Nagarkot as watershed area



BHAKTAPUR: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party secretary and lawmaker Prem Suwal and Bhaktapur municipality chief Sunil Prajapati met Forest and Environment Minister Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav and demanded adequate fertilizers for farmers and to declare Muhan Pokhari as a catchment area.

Lawmaker Suwal demanded the Forest Minister Yadav to increase the source of drinking water by declaring the area of drinking water source in Nagarkot of Chagunarayan Municipality as a reservoir area.

He also urged the minister to declare Chonga Ganesh Temple complex in Salaghari of Bhaktapur Municipality as a cultural area and to provide necessary budget for the protection of Navdurga Peeth in Bhaktapur.

Minister for Forests Yadav said that necessary assistance would be provided for the protection and promotion of public places in Bhaktapur.
