NC elects Pandey as Gandaki PP leader



POKHARA: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Surendraraj Pandey has been elected as the leader of Gandaki Province parliamentary party.

He defeated his competitor Bhojraj Aryal by 10 votes on the election held on Wednesday.

Pandey got 18 votes while Aryal got 8 votes. Out of 27 votes, 1 vote has been invalidated.

Pandey won from Gorkha 2 ‘B’ and Aryal Syangja 2 ‘A’ as members of the province assembly.

Pandey had Bindu Kumar Thapa as proponent and Takraj Gurung as supporter.

Similarly, Aryal was proposed by Mahendradhwaj GC and supported by Parvati Tamang.
