JSP’s Ashok Rai elected from Sunsari-1



DHARAN: Janata Samajwadi Party candidate Ashok Rai has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sunsari Constituency-1.

He was elected with 17,059 votes.

Rai, who was lagging behind in the counting of votes from the beginning, took the lead from Sunday.

Meanwhile, his closest contender Goma Tamang of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 16,606 votes.

JSP was supported by CPN-UML in Sunsari-1.
