RPP and Rabindra Mishra faction announce party unification



KATHMANDU: Former Chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party Rabindra Mishra’s faction has announced unity with Rajendra Lingden-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) at a party unification program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

RPP Chairman Lingden and leader Mishra signed a paper and announced unity at a program organized at Rastriya Sabha Griha (City Hall), Kathmandu.

It has been learned that Mishra will be the Senior Vice-Chairman of the RPP, while the other leaders who came with Mishra will be adjusted to various committees of the party including the office bearers and central committee.

RPP Chairman Lingden and Vice-chairman Mishra will finalize the committees within a week, RPP spokesperson Mohan Basnet said.

RPP has formed a 4-member task force to adjust the provincial and other level committees of the party.

Mishra along with RPP leaders laid wreaths on the picture of Prithvi Narayan Shah at the unity declaration program.

Rabindra Mishra, who quit the Bibeksheel Sajha Party, formally joined RPP today.

Mishra resigned as the Chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha after the local elections in June.

He also resigned as the ordinary member of the party on Monday evening.
