NA approves proposal on citizenship bill



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) on Sunday passed a proposal asking for sending the ‘Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2079’ to the Legislative Management Committee for reconsideration.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand tabled the proposal in today’s NA meeting.

The House of Representatives again approved the bill that was returned by the President to parliament for reconsideration and sent to the NA with a message.

The NA will next meet at 2:59 pm on September 1.
