UML Chairman Oli reiterates call for left unity



KATHMANDU: Chairman of CPN-UML KP Oli has reiterated his call for unity and cooperation among the democratic, patriotic, progressive and left-wing parties.

He emphasized forging unity among left forces but clarified that UML will not repeat the mistake by forging an alliance with regressive forces in the name of unity.

Meanwhile, the party has decided to contest the November 20 elections by proposing Chairman Oli as the next prime minister.

A central committee meeting of the party held on Friday and Saturday decided to promote Oli as the future prime minister.

The party has also fixed criteria for selecting candidates in the upcoming elections.

UML Chair Oli has already served as the country’s prime minister.
