Nepal sees 710 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 710 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 524 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 186 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,025 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,541 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,484 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,236 active cases in the country as 215 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,962.
