Nepal sees 44 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 44 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 38 were detected through the RT-PCR method and six through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,798 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,852 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 946 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 229 active cases in the country as 17 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
