RPP contested sans alliance in local election: Rajendra Lingden

BIRATNAGAR: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairperson Rajendra Prasad Lingden asserted that his party had contested in the May 13’s local election on its own.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport in Morang district today, Lingden clarified that his party had used the electoral alliance strategically only at some local levels.

Stating that Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) look down upon RPP, he explained that his party considered electoral alliance in some local levels for experimentation and to establish that RPP was also in need.

Opining that our foreign policy should be based on the principle of non-alignment, he maintained that the country’s foreign relations should be balanced.

Furthermore, the youth leader spoke of the need for each political parties in the country to be serious towards foreign relations. “Otherwise the country could turn into a competition ground for other powerful countries,” he warned. (RSS)
