Rupandehi model development for country: UML Vice Chair Poudel

KATHMANDU: CPN UML Vice Chairperson Bishnu Poudel has claimed that Rupandehi was developed as a place of exemplary development in the country. Other parts of the country can learn from it, he added.

He gave the examples of Gautam Buddha International Airport and other infrastructures as Butwal-Belhiya roadway as model development works in Rupandehi.

Poudel, who is also the former finance minister, said it during a program organized by UML Butwal Sub-Metropolis-13 on Thursday, further asserted that Rupandehi witnessed development because of right selection of people’s representatives through the elections.

The construction of dozens of bridges over Tinau and Danav Rivers removed discrimination which had been meted out on the settlements on opposite side of the rivers. He stressed on giving continuity to the development there.

“Where there is UML, there is development,” he mentioned. According to him, people had understood well that UML was required for country’s development.
