Seven more airports to operate 18 hours from today

KATHMANDU: Seven more airports across the country are coming into operation for 18 hours a day starting today (Thursday).

Chandragadhi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Simara, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj , and Dhangadhi airports have come into operation after the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) allowed them to conduct flight services at night.

Earlier, these airports had been conducting flights for 12 hours a day.

With the go-ahead from the CAAN, these airports will now operate for 18 hours daily.

It is expected that the CAAN’s decision will help ease the air traffic and promote tourism.
