I always remember Rolpa in difficult times: Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda



ROLPA: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he always remembers Rolpa whenever he is in difficult times.

Addressing a public meeting held at Rolpa headquarters Liwang Monday, former prime minister Prachanda  recalled the warmth and protection he got from the Rolpa people.

“Even in the past, when I was in trouble, Rolpa gave me new energy,” the Maoist Center Chairman said.

Prachanda recapped that Rolpa had made a great contribution to the recent political changes.

“Rolpa, which was the fort of revolution yesterday, should now be the fort of development and prosperity,” he remarked.

Earlier speaking at a press conference before addressing the public meeting,  Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda said that his party was preparing for the election alone.

“We are going to the polls on our own strength, not on the strength of the coalition,” he said.

Former Prime Minister Prachanda inaugurated the People’s War Memorial View Tower constructed by Rolpa Municipality at Satdobato.

Prachanda climbed the tenth floor of the view tower and also looked at various parts of Rolpa and Pyuthan.

A view tower is being constructed at Chuchche Dando in Rolpa Municipality-3 Satdobato at an altitude of 2,055 meters.

Chakreshwari / Bright JV Kathmandu contracted to complete the construction work of the tower last June, but the deadline was extended as it was not completed on time. The total contract amount (including variation) of this 112 feet high tower is Rs. 476.87 million.
