Silver jewelry looters land in police net



MORANG: Police have arrested four individuals who had been on the run after robbing silver ornaments weighing 13 kilograms.

The arrested are Sabin BK, 24, of Jhapa, Badal BK, 24, of Itahari, Morang, Manoj Thakur of Bardibas, Mahottari and Bishal BK of Rautamai, Udayapur.

They had looted the ornaments being carried by Om Kalikote, a staffer of Pathibhara Jewelers and Suppliers based in Damak rural municipality-1, on March 22, said police.

They had robbed Kalikote at Belbari-4 while he was ferrying the silver jewelries from east to west.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking them on a remand from the District Court Morang.
