Rastriya Janamorcha pulls out of five-party ruling coalition

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janamorcha has announced that it quit the five-party alliance.

A meeting of the Central Secretariat of the Rastriya Janamorcha on Monday took a decision to pull out of the ruling alliance.

The Rastriya Janamorcha said serious damage was done to the nation by the alliance through the passage of the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) even as the public was against it.

A statement issued by Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC stated, “The point of the coalition is over as four parties in the alliance deceivingly ratified MCC against national interest.”

The party said it would hold protest rallies against MCC at district and local level from March 3 to 6.
