 Ward chair announces resignation following MCC ratification



KANCHANPUR: Chairman of Shuklaphanta municipality-8, Kanchanpur, Bahadur Singh Mahara has decided to resign from his post and quit the party following the ratification of the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Posting a Facebook message, the youth leader of CPN (Maoist Center) begged pardon and announced resignation from his post.

“I have decided to quit the party and resign from the post of chairman after the Maoist Center extended support in endorsing the MCC),” said Mahara.

He said he will tender resignation by organizing a program at 10 am Monday from the post of chairman of the party that betrayed the country.
