Immigration staff at TIA barred from using mobile phones



KATHMANDU: Immigration officials at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been barred from using mobile phones during office hours.

The Immigration Office at TIA issued a notice on Friday instructing staff at the Arrival Room and Departure Room to use landline phones and official mobile phones during office hours.

The notice states that the Immigration Officer should control, monitor and regulate the use of personal phones.

The Department has instructed the employees to keep all their mobile phones in the lockers.
