NC forms Central Work Execution Committee



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has formed a 37-member Central Work Execution Committee.

A meeting of the Central Working Committee held on Friday through virtual means formed the Committee.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba proposed the names of the members of the Committee later approved by the central committee.

Party President Deuba and other office bearers are ex-officio members of the Central Work Execution Committee.

Party Vice Presidents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, Joint General Secretaries Farmullah Mansur, Umakanta Chaudhary, Mahalakshmi Upadhyay Dina, Bhishmaraj Andambe, Mahendra Yadav, Kishore Singh Rathore, Badri Pandey and Jeevan Pariyar are also ex-officio members.

Chairman Deuba formed the Committee comprising top leaders who supported him in the party’s 14th general convention.

The Congress has 13 office bearers and the treasurer and party spokesperson are yet to be nominated.

Leaders Ram Chandra Poudel, Gopalman Shrestha, Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Dr Shashank Koirala, Chitralekha Yadav, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Arjun Narsingh KC, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat and Sunil Bahadur Thapa are members of the work execution committee.

Similarly, Dr Shekhar Koirala, Bal Bahadur KC, Bal Krishna Khand, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Uma Regmi, Ramesh Rijal, Dr Narayan Khadka, Jipchiring Lama, Sujata Koirala, NP Saud, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi and Ananda Dhungana are also members of the Committee.

The NC statute has a provision of forming a 45-member work execution committee.
