Police post setup in Parbat-Baglung border area



PARBAT: A police post has been established in the bordering area of Baglung and Parbat districts.

The temporary police post was brought into operation from Thursday at Maldhunga of Kushma Municipality-1 in Parbat.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Parbat Shiva Raj Budhathoki said the police post was established to curb illegal activities taking place in the area along with the increasing population and also being a meeting point of Mid Hill Highway and Kaligandaki corridor.

He further said establishment of the police post there will help reduce road accidents and control illegal mining in the Kaligandaki river.

Chief District Officer of Parbat Devi Pandey Khatri marked the beginning of the police post and asked the police personnel to ensure service delivery to the citizens round the clock.
