President Bhandari summons first session of new parliament on January 9

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called the first session of the recently elected House of Representatives and the incumbent National Assembly for January 9. Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the Office of the President has notified that the session of the Federal Parliament has been called for 1 pm, January 9.

Kathmandu valley reports coldest day of year so far

Temperature across the country including the Kathmandu Valley continues to plummet as the winter is taking its peak. Today, the minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley dropped to 3.8 degrees Celsius and this is the lowest temperature the Valley recorded so far this year.

Home Ministry directs to withdraw personal security officials and assistants

The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed its subordinate agencies to withdraw the benefits, including personal security officers (PSOs) and assistants provided to the VIPs against the Security Management Procedure, 2077. Issuing a press release today, the Home Ministry asked the concerned people to comply with the work procedure.
