Kathmandu’s temperature drops to 4.4 degrees Celsius



KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has dropped to 4.4 degrees Celsius today.

This temperature is the lowest recorded so far this year.

The temperature of Kathmandu Valley was 4.4 degrees Celsius at 5:45 this morning, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

This is the lowest minimum temperature so far this year.

The minimum temperature on Monday was 5.5 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the country is likely to witness partial to normal rain and snowfall in some places due to the influence of the low-pressure system.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology predicted partial to normal rain in the mountainous areas of Province No. 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, with a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places.

The weather will be generally clear in the rest of the places.

Some parts of the Tarai are likely to have fog in the morning.

With possibility of temperature decreasing gradually in most parts of the country, the Department has requested all to take necessary precautions to avoid cold.
