Nepal sees 54 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 54 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 42 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 12 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,829 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,729 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,100 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,144 active cases in the country as 76 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,017 to date.
