Four Unified Socialist Ministers sworn in



KATHMANDU: Four new Unified Socialist ministers have taken oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office to the new ministers at a swearing-in ceremony held at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas on Monday morning.

On the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, President Bhandari on Sunday appointed Metmani Chaudhary as Urban Development Minister, Jeevan Ram Shrestha as Tourism Minister, Sher Bahadur Kunwar as Labor and Employment Minister, and Bhawani Khapung as Health Minister.

President Bhandari on Sunday evening reshuffled the Council of Ministers formed on July 13, 2021.

President Bhandari had appointed four ministers and one state minister and assigned them with their portfolios at the recommendation of Prime Minister Deuba as per the Articles 76 (1) and 78 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, the Office of the President stated.
