KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol pledged to work constructively for development of the metropolis.
Addressing a program organized at the City Hall Friday to congratulate the newly elected mayor and deputy mayor, the newly elected deputy mayor assured that she would not do anything that would erode the trust entrusted on her by the youths.
The 29-year-old youth had contested the election representing CPN (UML) and was elected to the post with 68,612 votes.
During the program, Dangol said, “Independent candidate Balendra Shah has been elected mayor of KMC. Likewise, I will coordinate efforts with elected candidates representing Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) in 32 wards of KMC for development of the town.”
Stating that serving the people and development of Kathmandu were top agendas for her, Dangol reaffirmed her commitment to diligently fulfill the responsibility given her by the people of the KMC.
“Every vote cast by the people has given me strong basis to achieve the determined goals,” she said.
