KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has disrupted the parliament after Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu dubbed the statement of the main opposition leader KP Sharma Oli as baseless.

Speaking at a special session of the House of Representatives on Friday, Industry Minister Badu termed the remarks made by main opposition leader Oli during the discussion on policies and programs as “misleading and baseless”.

No sooner did Minister Badu comment that UML leader Oli sees nothing but commissions since he lost power as the prime minister while enjoying the charm of the commission than UML lawmakers started protesting.

The UML lawmakers demanded that the remarks made against leader Oli be removed from the record.

The parliament sitting has been adjourned for 15 minutes following the UML’s obstruction.
