Nepal sees 111 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 111 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 94 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 17 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 30 cases in Kathmandu, three in Bhaktapur and three cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 36 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,935 to date.

Currently, there are 8,517 active cases in the country as 415 infected patients recovered.
