CIAA files corruption case against former minister Ram Kumar Shrestha



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Minister Ram Kumar Shrestha on the charge of amassing immense wealth by abusing his position.

CIAA filed the case in a special court on Sunday.

According to Narad Prasad Bhattarai, Deputy Registrar and Information Officer of the Special Court, a case has been registered against Shrestha with a demand of Rs 44.527 million.

Shrestha was the Minister for Tourism in the then Khil Raj Regmi-led election government of 2013. He is also a former secretary.
