President Bhandari holds discussion with Prime Minister Deuba



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have held a meeting at President’s office in Shital Niwas Thursday.

The two held discussion for an hour from 3 pm to 4 pm on contemporary politics, according to Prime Minister Deuba’s Secretariat. The election for 19 National Assembly seats concluded Wednesday, with the ruling coalition winning 18 seats.

“It’s was a regular meeting,” said Chief Personal Secretary to President Bhandari Bhesharaj Adhikari.

Meanwhile, the ruling coalition has been discussing setting a date for holding local-level elections. The ruling coalition views that the Local Level Election Act needs amendment as it contradicts the constitution.
