Police seize illegally-imported goods worth amounting to Rs 16.3 million



BIRGUNJ: A police squad of Parsa impounded a truck laden with illegally-imported goods worth amounting to Rs 16.3 million from Birgunj metropolis-8.

The police had taken control the truck (Na 4 Kha 8334) en route to Butwal from Birgunj with the goods imported from India by evading revenue.

The police team also arrested truck driver for further investigation and action. Spokesperson of Parsa District Police Office, DSP Om Prakash Khanal informed that both the truck and driver were handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office, Pathalaiya on Wednesday for further action.
