Eight-member cabinet formed with three Deputy Prime Ministers
An eight-member cabinet has been formed under the Prime Ministership of Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” on Monday. All the ministers, including Prime Minister Prachanda took the oath of office and secrecy from President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the President’s residence Sheetal Niwas.

Pakistan PM congratulates newly-appointed Prime Minister Prachanda
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has congratulated Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on his appointment to the post of Prime Minister of Nepal. Taking to social media, the Pakistani PM has congratulated Prime Minister Prachanda and expressed his confidence that, as regional partners, Nepal-Pakistan will become stronger in the days to come.
NC General Secy Thapa accuses PM Prachanda of dishonesty
Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has accused newly elect-Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ of committing political dishonesty. NC General Secretary Thapa said that as the coalition candidate in the general election Prachanda had also got Nepali Congress votes, so, changing coalition was a dishonest act.
NEA asks internet companies to clear dues
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in Chitwan has asked 14 different internet companies to clear the rent for the use of utility poles in the district’s main city areas. The internet companies have not renewed their contract agreement though they are supposed to renew their contract within the first three months of the fiscal year, Chief of NEA Distribution Centre Bharatpur Rajendra Poudel said.
