KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling political parties to discuss government formation and power-sharing is underway at the Parliament Building in New Baneswor.

The meeting is attended by leaders of the political parties supporting the appointment of Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda as Prime Minister.

Maoist Chairman Prachanda was appointed Prime Minister on Sunday with the support of CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party.

The newly-appointed Prime Minister Prachanda is scheduled to take oath today at 4 pm.
