NC and UML garner over 2 million votes under PR category



KATHMANDU: Major political parties, including Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML, have garnered over 2 million votes under the Proportional Representation (PR) category.

So far, CPN-UML has garnered 207,8397 votes (27.44 percent of the votes) while NC got 200,5141  (26.47 percent votes).

Maoist Center is in third place with 889,755 votes (11.74 percent).

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), meanwhile, is in the fourth position garnering 805,494 votes (11.27 percent).

Meanwhile, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is in fifth place with 456,826 (6.31 percent) votes.

The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is in sixth place with 246,627 votes (3.25 percent) so far.

Meanwhile, the Unified Socialist Party has not been able to meet the three percent threshold required to become a national party.

So far it has garnered 189,896 (2.50 percent) votes.
