PR vote count: UML leading followed by NC and RSP

KATHMANDU: Counting of votes cast under the Proportional Representation (PR) system in the election to the member of the House of Representatives is underway.

The voting was held on November 20.

According to the count updates made available by the Election Commission, the CPN-UML is leading the tally and it has received 185,1895 votes so far.

The Nepali Congress (NC) is in the second position with 178,7195 votes followed by Rastriya Swatantra Party with 794,825 votes.

Similarly, the Maoist Centre has secured 784,150 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has obtained 407,890 so far.

Likewise, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal has got 218,125 votes; 168,145 by Unified Socialist; 160,472 by Nagarik Unmukti Party; and 84,145 by Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, according to the EC.
