Maoist Center’s Tamang wins HoR polls from Nuwakot-1



NUWAKOT: The Maoist Centre has clinched a victory in the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the Nuwakot electoral constituency-1.

Hit Bahadur Tamang, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, obtained 26,548 votes to defeat his nearest competitor Badri Mainali of the CPN-UML who finished with 23,463, according to election officer Tekraj Bhusal.

The difference of votes between the two is 1,112.

A total of 63,379 votes were cast on November 20 and the counting was completed this morning.
