KATHMANDU: The CPN Maoist Center has recalled its two ministers from Karnali Province government even though the Election Commission has already decided to hold federal and provincial election on November 20.

The party on Friday recalled Minister for Energy and Water Resources Ganesh Prasad Singh and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bindaman Bista.

Bimala KC, chairperson of the party’s Karnali Province Committee, said the two ministers were recalled as per the decision taken by the party.

According to KC, the party is now preparing to send Rato Kami from Rukum East and Krishna Shah Acharya from Jajarkot to the provinciall cabinet.

Maoist Center has 11 assembly members in Karnali Province. Of them, only Kami and Shah are yet to become ministers.

The Karnali Province government has been drawing criticism for not becoming inclusive.

“We are recalling the ministers to ensure representation of Dalit and women in the cabinet,” KC, who is also a former province minister, said.
