Nepal imports gold of Rs 35 billion in one year



BIRGUNJ: Nepal has seen an increase in the import of gold and silver lately.

According to the Customs Department, there has been an increase in the import of gold and silver in the last fiscal year 2078/79 BS.

According to the data provided by the Department, in the last fiscal year 2078/79, a total of 5,053 kg of gold worth Rs 35 billion 61 crore 95 lakh 24 thousand was imported.

Likewise, Nepal imported 138,501 kg of silver during this period.

According to the Customs Department, the quantity of gold and silver imported in 2078/79 BS is higher than the previous fiscal year.

In the financial year 2077/78 BS, a total of 3,924 kg of gold worth Rs 27 billion 34 crore 39 lakh 52 thousand was imported.
