Lalitpur metropolis bans sale of panipuri in view of emerging cholera cases

KATHMANDU: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has banned the sale of panipuri on the streets of the metropolis in view of emerging cholera cases in Kathmandu Valley.

LMC Mayor Chiri Babu Maharajan took a decision to this effect as a preventive measure after Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) found cholera-causing bacteria in the water of a panipuri stall in Kathmandu.

Panipuri stalls are to be banned in Lalitpur from Monday until further notice.
