Police rescue three foreigners stranded in Chandragiri forest



KATHMANDU: Police have rescued three foreign nationals who had been missing in the Chandragiri forest of Kathmandu since Saturday.

According to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, a 10-member police team from Thankot rescued them using with torches, ropes and stretchers.

The rescued foreigners include Douglas Rowe, 34, of Pottery, USA, Navpreet Dillon, 30, of Chandigarh, India, and Madhav Gupta, 29, of Mumbai, India.

They were found stranded on a steep hill 100 meters below the Thankot-Chitlang road in the forest about 7 km from Thankot.

They have been brought to Thankot and handed over to their friends, the police said.
