Citizenship Bill should be passed from the current session: Speaker Sapkota



KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that the citizenship bill should be passed by the current session of the parliament.

While releasing the book ‘Parliamentary practice: From the First Parliament to the Federal Parliament’ in Kathmandu on Sunday morning, Speaker Sapkota said, “It should be passed by this House. Eight replacement bills will have to be passed. ”

He said that the future of dozens of youths was difficult due to the stalemate in the citizenship bill and dozens of ‘delegations’ had come to him.

Speaker Sapkota said that the parliament has no interest other than making quality laws to justify the parliament’s relevance after its restoration.
